Bespoke registers

As well as the stock items featured on our online shop, specially produced registers are supplied to many authorities to form an interesting and historic record for all time.

Books are available in standard rulings and binding, but alternative styles can be produced in accordance with individual requirements. Examples of the most popular types are reproduced below and on the Binding page of this website.

The title page, when emblazoned with armorial bearings or other symbols, can in itself be a work of art which greatly enhances the overall appearance of the book.

As well as being used as visitors books, these volumes can also be used as memorial books, lists of donors, etc.

Books can be gold blocked with armorial bearings, badges, authorities' names or other wording and slip cases in leather can also be supplied as protective containers.

Records of citizenship ceremonies

Make your Council's citizenship ceremonies something really special by using our Record of Citizenship Ceremonies. Visitors books

Councils and places of interest often like to make a record of visitors to the premises. Perfect for this purpose, Shaw's de luxe Regal Register and Record Books are renowned for the high quality of their traditional construction. These volumes are bound in exquisite blue Moroccan leather in a traditional design featuring gold gilded pages. The cover is hand tooled in gold with a classic decorative detail.

Listed below are our three Visitors Books formats, varying in style through their inside page layout. Title pages of all styles of Visitors Books can be emblazoned with armorial bearings or other symbols to greatly enhance the overall appearance of the volume. The face of all our books can be gold blocked with armorial bearings, badges, authorities' names or other wording, as required.

Declaration Book

Full bound springback ledger style book in wine coloured leather, re-enforced end paper to suit, gold tooling to the front and gold band blocking to the spine. Consists of 50 leaves printed one side only for Masters and 150 leaves printed for wardens. There are blank pages between the two sections with a reinforced tab separating the two sections

Visitors Book

Bespoke visitors book bound in dark green leather effect bookcloth with crest and text blocked to the face in silver.

Freeman Register

Bound springback ledger style register in burgundy textured leather with raised spine bands and gold tooling to the front and spine. Produced with jointed marbled end papers and speckled edged papers. Inside consists of an index with leather index tabs. Also includes a slip case in the same leather with gold tooling.

Roll of Honour Book

Springback style ledger roll of honour book. Full bound in brown leather with reinforced red marbled end papers and a red sprinkled edge to the papers. The casing includes double thick boards and there is gold tooling to the front and spine of the book.

Music Score Book

Presentation book case bound in dark blue leather with a printed musical score inside. Consists of coloured end papers and gold embossed logo and text.
