Old versions of TA6 and TA7 no longer accepted from 30th March 2026

Our legal customers should be aware that the TA6 Property Information Form (4th) and (5th) editions and TA7 Leasehold Information Form (3rd) and (4th) editions are being withdrawn on 30 March 2026.

Firms accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) must use the TA6 (6th edition) and TA7 (5th edition) for all new transactions from 30 March 2026.

To smooth the transition, there are materials available:

•          Guidance to help them understand the legal position and preview the new and improved TA6 (6th edition) and TA7 (5th edition).

•          More accessible explanatory notes to help their clients complete the form.

•          Insights from two of the experts behind the new form in the Law Society's recorded TA6 webinar.

With just six weeks to go until firms no longer have access to the previous editions, please make the change now and ensure a smooth transition.
