Catalogue

The Forms on Disk catalogue shows you all the forms available under the Legal and Local Government sectors, by form number and title.

Each section is subdivided and can be navigated easily to find the form you need. To aid you in looking for a form, we have included a fully searchable catalogue (only available in version 4).

Searching the catalogue is very easy, all you need to do is either enter the form number, the title, or just part of the title and the catalogue will then show you everything that matches your search:

Standard Values

There are various standard values that can be inserted into forms without having to type anything! These include:

  • Standard Clauses
  • Alternate Clauses
  • Your Details
  • Solicitor Fields
  • Court & Land Registry addresses
  • Date

When you want to insert a standard value, all you need to do is right-click in the field where you want the value to go:

Text Board

You can maintain a library of standard clauses ready to insert into forms within Forms on Disk. This is done by using the 'text board'.

You clauses are held in folders within the text board, if you are running Forms on Disk over a network, then your clauses will be available to all users.

The text board looks like this:

Stretchable Fields

Some forms contain fields which may be stretched or shrunk. When you tab in to such a field, the prompt at the bottom will contain the word 'Sizeable'; this indicates that the field can be stretched or shrunk as required. See the help section for an example of prompts at the bottom of forms..

To stretch or shrink a form, all you need to do is right-click in the field and a dialog box will appear:

On Line Update

The latest forms updates, programs and catalogues can be downloaded from the Internet with the current version of Forms on Disk. When you use this service, Forms on Disk will only download what you need.

You will need an Internet connection for this feature to work.

You can tell Forms on Disk to check for all groups or just ones that you specify:

Forms on Disk will estimate how long the update will take you and you can still cancel it at any time.
