If you are a specialist in your particular field, or have expertise in certain areas, have you ever considered committing your knowledge and experience to paper by writing a textbook on the subject or subjects?

Many people seem reluctant to embark on writing a book because of what they perceive would be the problems in having their work published. In other cases, potential authors feel that they lack the basic information they need to help them prepare something for publication.
